Inditherm's patient warming systems are ideally suited for use in the Emergency Room, Ambulances and for other transport needs. They use the very latest technology to give best available performance and deliver real clinical benefits. Systems are also available that are specifically designed for the needs of the perioperative departments, neonatal warming, and veterinary medicine.
High Performance
The patented technology ensures best possible heat transfer to the patient, giving unrivalled performance in maintaining core temperature and re-warming hypothermic patients. The combination of large, uniform heating surface, large patient contact area with the warming surface, and conductive heating all contribute to this outstanding warming capability.
Practical & Convenient
The TraumaTherm mattresses allow full access to the patient, whilst maintaining excellent performance. No fitting and adjustment of disposable blankets is necessary. The uniform heat transfer characteristics ensure the patient is warmed without affecting the surrounding environment and medical team. The products come in a range of sizes, can be customised for special needs, and are X-Ray translucent. Blankets are available, where a mattress may not be convenient.
Clinically Proven
Inditherm mattresses have been clinically proven to provide equivalent or better warming performance than traditional warm air systems (Baxendale, et al, 2000), (Harper, 2007) . Research in the emergency room has shown that the system can dramatically reduce pain and anxiety and increase patient comfort (Satheesan et al, 2006).
Simple To Use
Inditherm's patient warming systems are easy to use and provide a high level of patient care. No setting up is required, allowing staff to concentrate on the needs of the patient. The control unit offers user-selectable temperature with reliable, intelligent alarms. The unit is compact and can be mounted on an IV pole or anaesthetic trolley.
Safe & Reliable
All patient warming products - mattresses and blankets - are powered at low voltage (24V), ensuring that patient and operator safety is maintained at all times. Surfaces are durable and latex-free, with fully RF welded seams, allowing simple cleaning and avoiding risk of damage or infection. The control unit is compact, robust and very reliable with no moving parts.
Pressure Relief
The unique design fully integrates high performance viscoelastic foam into the mattresses, providing excellent pressure relief. This added benefit has been proven to out-perform traditional gel pads (see Comparison: Pressure Relief) and standard mattresses.

Fully Compliant
Inditherm products have been proven in a wide range of demanding environments. They have been shown to be fully compatible with all other electronic medical devices.
