Inditherm have exploited their patented flexible polymer technology
to provide a patient warming system that is both practical and
effective for trauma situations such as the emergency room, ambulances and
military situations. This allows warming to be applied in a controlled
manner in a much wider range of circumstances. Products have been
customised to take into account the needs of routine and specialised procedures
alike. Applications include: Accident & Emergency; Patient Transport;
Rescue; Military Applications; Perioperative areas; and Intensive
Care.
Emergency Room
TraumaTherm Mattresses
allow the medical team full access to
the patient, whilst maintaining patient core temperature or re-warming the hypothermic
patient. The uniform heat transfer characteristics, combined with large contact
area, ensure the patient is warmed without affecting the surrounding environment
and staff. Heating blankets using the same technology are available should additional warming
be required for special cases. Warming can start as soon as
the patient arrives in the department and continue uninterrupted throughout the
period of treatment.
Transport
Inditherm's systems use the same power as a light bulb and do not use
air or water, making them practical and convenient for transport applications. This
applies equally to internal transport within the hospital or
use in ambulances and other rescue and emergency vehicles.
Military Applications
The compact design, high performance and low power consumption make the system ideal for military applications. Reliability is assured by the
robust design that has no moving parts. Systems are already in use
in field hospitals, active conflict zones and on naval vessels, with a
range of international armed forces.
Other Applications
TraumaTherm, Inditherm Alpha and CosyTherm systems
are also widely used for perioperative and neonatal warming
applications, including pre-op, operating
room, recovery room (PACU), neonatal unit, delivery suite and post-natal
wards.
Fully Compliant
Inditherm products have been proven in a wide range of demanding Operating
Room and Emergency care situations and environments. They have been shown to be
fully compatible with all other electronic medical devices. Products are fully
approved to international medical device standards.
